Job Summary: Under supervision of the RN, serves as an integral member of the patient care team by providing assigned patient care and/or support services as delegated and permitted by law and regulatory bodies and institutional policies and procedures. This position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area.Minimum Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalentRegistration/Certification or License Required: Heartsaver CPR (or completed within 60 days of hire)Preferred Education: Certified Nurses Aide certificateEMT (ED)Anatomy and Physiology CoursePreferred Experience: Knowledge of medical terminologyComputer literacyBilingualManagement Experience (If applicable): Physical Requirements: Able to tolerate frequent contact with noxious odors/sightsAbility to lift 50+poundsAbility to push and/or pull on a wheeled device up to 200 lbs.Prolonged standing/walking for shift durationFrequent bending, reaching, stooping, and kneelingVisual and auditory acuityOther Requirements: Every other weekend (only) and holidays in rotation. Experience and/or CNA preferred. PTB Days
