* Northrop Grumman Technical Services \(NGTS\) is seeking uniquely qualified mission oriented, individuals with fieldexperience to perform having a background in Unmanned UAS Ground Control Systems, Networking, Server CommandLine Administration, LRU replacement OCONUS/CONUS mission/maintenance support, development/integration/test ofin\-house and field\-deployed UGCS products\. Strong knowledge Linux/Unix computer operating systems is a must\.This position requires deployment to overseas and military theatres for both on\-call quick reaction \(7\-30 days\) andextended periods \(90 to 180 days at a time on a rotating basis\)\. Candidates must be willing to work extended hours duringmission critical time periods\. When not deployed, the candidate works at the Unmanned Systems Integration Center\(USIC\) location in Sierra Vista, Arizona and our Test and Integration Center located in nearby Douglas, Arizona\.Individuals will also conduct training in both formal and informal environments\. A qualified individual will closely interfacewith the customer and system operators in planning, maintenance and operation of fielded equipment\. Provide highlytechnical professional implementation of NGTS UGCS products, as well as customer furnished equipment \(CFE\), to solvecustomer problems with a focus toward real\-time mission support\. Support will include field testing of selected equipmentand software\. Individual must be able to work with minimal supervision and support\. Position requires excellent oral andwritten communications skills; strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills; and proficiency with various typesof test equipment and software packages\. Specific responsibilities consist of:
- Installation, configuration, and checkout of software updates for the UGCS Software- Thin Client and Virtual Machine \(VM\) administration, Linux/Unix operating systems \(preferably RedHat Linux x86\),Windows 7, X Window Systems, Windows Server 2008 R2 Update Services- Assist with system setup, startup and preflight- Familiarity with all aspects of software behavior, and the ability to translate that knowledge into assistance to users- During flight test, take written notes of user actions, system responses, and problems noted, and communicate them tothe UGCS engineering staff- Assist in conducting tests of Ground Control systems- Perform periodic IA audits as directed by the Information Systems Security Manager \(ISSM\)- Assist troubleshooting of software and hardware problems- Perform system administration functions, including but not limited to download/archival of log information, andadministration of user accounts- Support repair and replacement of ground equipmentMust be a self\-starter, able to formulate questions and seek answers, prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work withothers to achieve goals, often under tight deadlines\. You will be an ambassador for NGTS' subsystems and will beexpected to reflect our high standards to your co\-workers, and our Government customers\. Excellent verbal and writtenskills are essentialThe principal job location is at the USIC facility in Sierra Vista, AZ\. Periodic travel to other site locations may be required\.When not deployed, the candidate will support the CONUS lab and engineering depot level activities\. When not deployed,work hours are nominally 1st shift, Monday thru Friday\. However, to support flight needs, the ability to flex hours to work2nd or 3rd shift, and occasional weekends, is imperative\.This is a deployable position 50 percent or more of the time in austere locations that support the Department of Defense\. Candidate must be able to pass and remain medical and administrative qualified, to include security clearancequalification, to initially qualify and remain qualified this position\.Candidate will spend approximately two months at our training facility located in Tooele, Utah and Dugway ProvingGrounds, Utah undergoing qualification as a Hunter UAS technician prior to starting work at the Sierra Vista location ordeploying\. The candidate will be under business travel while undergoing training at our training facility\.Basic Qualifications:

AA or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 6 years of related experience\. Must havea current interim Secret or above clearance in JPAS to start\.
