Major Duties

Cigna's HealthService Leadership Program (HLP) Internship focuses on identifying and attracting top first year students from premier graduate schools who will influence change in the organization. The 10-week internship provides the opportunity to work on a specific project which is strongly aligned to our business development and growth strategy. In addition, interns will have an HLP mentor who is a full-time associate, and the opportunity to meet with senior leaders throughout the summer. The internship will provide insight into Cigna, its leadership, and key stakeholders.

Project focus may include but are not limited to:

-Product Development

-Sales & Distribution

-Service & Clinical Operations

-Strategy & Marketing

-Finance

-Technology

-Analytics

Required Qualifications

-Minimum of 3 years work experience

-First year student enrolled in an MBA, MPH, MHA or other relevant advanced degree program

Preferred Qualifications

-Strong leadership skills (influencing, organizational agility, courage, drive for results)

-Analytical & business acumen

-Independent & innovative thinking

-Project management experience (decision quality, priority management, organizational & attention to detail)

-Excellent verbal & written communication skills
