Social Media Services Analyst/Developer

Social Media Services Analyst/DeveloperYou will serve as a detailed-oriented bridge between various stakeholder teams and their requirements, and the IT architects & engineers, who will define and implement technical solutions based on your documented, technical requirements. You will be responsible for enhancing the existing Cisco Blogs site by maintaining crucial data, creating new categories and access groups, and helping write new functionality (either in the theme or via a plugin). A lead developer, who is responsible for the entire system, will help you learn the current landscape and validate your code.
Requirements
-Degree in IT related field (MIS, engineering, etc.)-Ability to translate stakeholders words and documents into actionable system requirements-Examples of system requirements you've written yourself for any project methodology-Desire to understand the world from a process or system perspective-Ability to empathize with stakeholders and understand what their needs and motivations are-Ability to work in multiple teams, across multiple projects while getting along with everyone but not becoming a bottleneck to any project-Ability to understand complex systems that include several integrations with external services and databases-Sharable experience (either with documentation you've created or experiences you can verbally share) with one of the following methodologies a must, with more than one a plus:
* Waterfall
* RAD/JAD
* Object Oriented Analysis/Design
* Unified Process
* Agile (XP, Scrum, DSDM, etc.)-Experience working as part of a team developing software for a client or assignment in class.-Eagerness to be part of every aspect of software development - from initial requirements to testing and rollouts-2+ years of experience developing web sites-Shareable examples of your work on sites you've developed, or helped develop, using any combination of the following:
PHP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery-Knowledge of how to troubleshoot basic PHP and WordPress issues (both front-end/dev, and admin/dashboard) for Users-Familiarity with access/permission management - knowledge of RoleScoper a plus-Experience working with any of the leading social network APIs/services (authentication/authorization, social sharing, creating applications that fetch social network data, etc.) a plus-Strong communication skills-A desire to work in a small team in a fast paced environment Additional nice to have skills:
- At least a year of WordPress development experience (themes, plugins, install/configuration)- Familiarity with access/permission management - knowledge of RoleScoper a plus- Experience working with any of the leading social network APIs/services (authentication/authorization, social sharing, creating applications that fetch social network data, etc.) a plus
