VP Development Manager (.Net Portal)

A challenging, high visibility role providing the opportunity to manage the .Net based Portal that hosts several Citi applications. The right candidate will have the ability to maintain the vision and roadmap of the portal, coordinate and manage expectations with multiple peoject teams and provide accurate and timely reporting and communication.
Job duties include: - Manage the development and maintenance of the .Net based Portal- Communicate and coordinate with project managers, application architects and developers to plan the work of the Portal team.- Track the activities of the Portal team and report to senior management- Work with business, operations and technology stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness of business and technical requirements.- Coordinate and manage expectations with multiple project managers and business representatives for each application deployed on the Portal- Manage a distributed development team with developers in multiple locations
Rquired skills include: - Strong experience in project management and project management processes- Experience in managing development teams and working closely with development leads and architects to manage a team of over 15 people- Strong communication and coordination skills and the ability to interact and work effectively with project managers, application business owners and system architects.- Knowledge of .Net based system architecture and strong exposure to building enterprise systems that use a combination of technologies (including .Net and JEE).- Strong exposure to technologies related to web development, with specific focus on Microsoft .Net, MVC, AJAX and SQL Server- Experience in managing the design and development of a Portal that supports multiple applications is a strong plus
Du to the nature of the role requiring coordination, communication and expectation management with multiple application owners and project managers, a management consulting background is a plus.
