SHORT DESCRIPTION:

Member of the Finance leadership team and is the organization s executive responsible for managed care operations, including payer relations, contracting and business development.



Responsible for all aspects of payer management and contracting specific to Fee For Service, Capitated, Value Based, Bundled and other payer reimbursement models.



Essential requirements of the position will be to formulate, implement and manage payer contracts and develop systems/processes to ensure a timely and accurate revenue cycle for these payers.



Other important responsibilities include maintaining the central contracting office and taking a lead role in negotiating superior contract relationships for the organization.



Responsible for coordinating legal services required to mitigate risk and contractual issues with managed care payers. Activities will be coordinated under the direction of the CFO, and, when appropriate, in coordination with hospital legal staff. Outside counsel activities will be coordinated and tracked through this office.



Hospital pricing will be managed through this office. This includes charge compliance and strategic pricing changes. Coordination with Accounting and Revenue Cycle will be part of this pricing management.



SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor s Degree required, Master s Degree or above preferred.



10 years progressive experience with managed care and contracting in a hospital, physician practice or insurance organization.



Strong skills in written and interpersonal communications with a proven background in negotiations, population health administration and strategic pricing preferred.



Ability to achieve results through collaboration.
