* Supervise and lead a group of 30-40 engineers, scientists and technicians who design solenoids valves, screw-in cartridge valves, integrated manifold packages and electronic controls for the mobile and industrial fluid power industries
* Provide overall technical guidance for global cross-functional engineering activities with overseas units and customers in APAC and EMEA regions
* Provide product technical guidance directed at machine builders and OEMs in the agriculture, construction and industrial markets
* Liaison with corporate electronic controls group
* Evaluate, motivate and mentor engineers and supporting staff
* Oversee engineering intern program to assure future talent pipeline
* Oversee the research and development of new products and procedures
* Work with Product Management to analyze market requirements for new and current products
* Collaborate on product specifications and detailed plans to accomplish goals
* Develop cost estimates
* Implement lean initiatives, capital expenditures and software purchases to garner engineering group productivity improvements
* Work with manufacturing to optimize processes
* Check technical accuracy of work
* Establish administrative policies, procedures, and standards
* Provide accurate and timely information for the remaining management team
* Electrification and Internet of Things of OEM machines and equipment
* Design to cost and value engineering

Background and Key Requirements:

* BSEE (preferred), Mechatronics (preferred), BSME or higher level of education
* Minimum 3years experience leading a diverse engineering group
* Experience with larger OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in the agriculture, construction and industrial markets
* Familiarity with M & A activities, and Post Merger Integration (PMI) of engineering groups
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Ability to travel up to 25% of the time including international traveling accountability
* Familiarity with
* Fluid power (preferred) or automotive industry
* Solenoids and hydro-mechanical valve design, on-board and embedded electronic controls
* Hydraulic system design and functions
* Manufacturing processes for high-pressure fluid control products
* 3D CAD and associated PLM systems, PTC experience preferred
* FEA, CFD, DAQ and simulation
* APQP new product launch process
* New product durability and qualification plans
* Value Engineering
* ISO certification
* Gage Lab processes
* Root cause/corrective action and problem solving processes
* Change control and configuration control
