JOB DESCRIPTION

Oversees the Centralized Billing department to ensure it is functioning in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standard guidelines and regulations and as directed by the CFO, to assure the proper administrative procedures are maintained.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Bachelor's Degree of Accounting or related field, or five (5) years of experience
* Previous experience in long term care business office operations preferred
* Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Develops and monitors operating procedures and, where necessary, implements changes in workflow to improve productivity
* Launches, manages and monitors integration initiatives for new billing locations
* Creates and holds billing leadership accountable for established performance and production standards
* Remains informed and anticipate potential pitfalls in operations and works toward timely communication and resolution of issues
* Responsible for decisions regarding hiring and terminations while working closely with Human Resources
* Ensure effective utilization of employees to guarantee appropriate level of productivity
* Works to increase retention and minimize avoidable turnover
* Maintains employee morale, employee satisfaction and customer satisfaction at levels conducive to maintaining high productivity
* Ensure that all performance reviews are completed, conducted and turned in on time
* Recognizes and provides coaching, mentoring, counseling and discipline as appropriate; provides employees with support and motivation; provides employee development opportunities as appropriate
* Exhibits objectivity and openness to other's views; demonstrates ability to balance team and individual responsibilities
* Promotes flexibility in staff utilization across teams and departments
* Delegates work appropriately and follow through to ensure optimal results
