For more information, please visit www.digitashealth.com or follow us on Twitter @Digitas_Health JOB SUMMARY: A Vice President, Group Director in the department of Science and Medicine (Medical Director) plays a central role in ensuring that the work produced by the company is medically accurate and up-to-date. In addition, the medical director collaborates with marketing, creative, strategy, and planning staff to support all existing accounts and in efforts to win new accounts. Experience in these three disparate disciplines is required for this position. Those fields are (1) Medicine and the life sciences, (2) Pharmaceutical marketing, and (3) Use of digital channels in medicine, marketing, and communications. The individual should also be familiar with FDA marketing and advertising regulations. DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES: - Contribute to strategic and tactical brainstorming to address current clients objectives and to help secure new accountsclients - Educate DH staff on medical topics relevant to clients brands - Contribute to content strategy (i.e. supporting the creative department in choosing the content suitable for a particular communications objective and audience) - Support art directors and graphic designers when producing medical imagery, illustrations, and animation - Recruit, coordinate and organize advisory boards. - Conduct or supervise primary research (primarily phone interviews) with healthcare professionals - Ensure the medical accuracy and topicality of healthcare-related content - Help ensure compliance with MedLegal processes - Participate in strategic and tactical brainstormingideation across accounts SKILLS amp; EXPERIENCE: - Advanced degree in medicine or in a healthcare-related field (MD, DO, DDS, PharmD or PhD) - At least 1 year of clinical experience - At least 2 years of advertisingcommunications agency or pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or device industry experience - Familiarity with pharmaceutical marketing principles, regulations, and practices - Familiarity with digital marketing solutions in health (e.g. eDetails, interactive visual aids, eSampling, etc.) - Editorial andor medical writing experience - Able to work both independently and in a team - Facility with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
