VRF Inside Sales



Job Purpose:



Carrier Enterprise Northeast has an excellent opportunity for a VRF Project Estimator in the New York metropolitan area (CT/NY/NJ) based in West Caldwell, NJ. This position will provide project estimating services of CE Northeast's VRF and Mini-VRF product lines, both for Design Build as well as Plan and Spec projects, for our inside and outside sales teams. This position will also assist in managing CE Northeast's VRF projects from inception to completion, including liaising with factory counterparts, sales teams and customers to ensure projects are fulfilled in an accurate and timely manner. This position is critical to our future success in Ductless and VRF. We offer an excellent compensation and benefits package including 401(K).



Responsibilities:

Receive requests for quotations and prepare responses in an accurate and timely manner

*



Prepare cost estimates by analyzing proposals and project requirements

*



Confer with customers, territory managers, and/or inside sales engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements for projects

*



Plan and modify product configurations to meet customer needs

*



Generate submittals which include accurate drawings and product data

*



Track VRF projects from project conception to completion utilizing CE Northeast's CRM software

*



Recommend improved products or equipment to customers, specifying how such changes will lower costs or increase efficiency

*



Coordinate directly with vendors to ensure product deliveries are scheduled and occur on time

*



Obtain additional special project pricing for competitive quoting situations

* Coordinate with sales and fulfillment teams on project direct orders.

* Communicate and work with departmental management to monitor and maintain all company policies and procedures

* Prioritize and coordinate multiple simultaneous time sensitive projects and tasks

*



Coordinate with Territory Managers and Branch teams to help mechanical contractors lay out projects and address any issues

*



Develop and maintain close working relationships with factory personnel.

*



Escalate issues as required and ensure a timely distribution of information within the organization in order to expedite resolutions.

*



Utilize all modes of communication to aid in efficiency (ex. phone calls, emails, texts)

*



Continually increase knowledge of Commercial/Applied HVAC

*



Additional duties would include: data entry, customer interaction and administration







Experience/Education:

*



Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent

* A minimum of 3 years in an Inside or Outside Sales Engineer for an HVAC manufacturer or distributor

* Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word/E-mail.

*



Strong customer orientation and interpersonal skills. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, Spanish bilingual a plus.
