VRF Sales Engineer - Northern Markets



Territory: Northern portion Mid-Atlantic Region (DC/Northern VA & Baltimore, MD)

Objective of Role



With direction from the regional sales manager, this position will lead the sales effort for the VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) product segment and be responsible for sales growth, marketing programs and increased profitability for CE Mid-Atlantic-Northern markets. Evaluate both Residential and Commercial market segments and implement strategy to penetrate both segments with VRF products.



Job Responsibilities:



* Support sales growth and drive specifications of Toshiba-Carrier VRF/DFS products through consulting engineers, vertical markets, mechanical contractors, and end users by marketing, specification, selection, and sales.



* Support the Inside and Outside Sales organization by providing technical support and application information on all Toshiba-Carrier VRF/DFS products.



* Seek new business opportunities by responding to new customer's inquiries and the marketing of products and services.



* Analyze the territory, develop, execute, and monitor sales programs of the Toshiba-Carrier VRF/DFS products.



* Take responsibility for generating quotes/proposals for Toshiba-Carrier VRF/DFS equipment for engineers, mechanical contractors, and owners, then working to close the sale.



* Make presentations in front of engineers, mechanical contractors, and owners on Toshiba-Carrier VRF/DFS products.



* Visit jobsites throughout the process from start to completion to provide support and guidance.



* Help maintain pre and post sales job files.



* Able to travel 40%.



* Implement and follow up on Specification program to increase Toshiba-Carrier specs on applied product Commercial jobs.







Qualifications:



* Minimum 2+ years of VRF sales and/or installation experience or knowledge required.



* 2-5 years of HVAC experience or knowledge of HVAC preferred.



* High sense of urgency and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.



* Highly motivated self-starter, able to work with minimal direction from management.



* Strong business, technical and problem solving skills needed.



* Proficient with a PC and Microsoft Office applications.



* 2-Year degree in a business or technical engineering related field, desired but not required
