SERVICE AREA OVERVIEW
Northside Hospital offers comprehensive cardiovascular care through diagnostic, interventional, rehabilitative and support services. An established leader in cardiovascular services, Accredited Chest Pain Center, and designated UnitedHealth Premium Cardiac Specialty Center for outstanding quality cardiac services, Northside recently expanded its award-winning program to offer the latest in vascular surgery services. Northside Vascular Surgery is one of the most skilled vascular surgery programs in the Southeast and the only program in the nation equipped to treat high-risk patients with custom-modified endografts for aortic aneurysm.
The Vascular Technologist will be responsible for operating ultrasound scanning equipment to produce records of designated portions of the human anatomy. They provide radiologistis, cardiologists, and surgeons with preliminary information obtained from vascular scans to determine a diagnonsis for a wife variety of discorders affecting the vascular system. Vascular Technologists work in areas requiring autonomy and indirect supervision.
1. Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), OR the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, Sonography (ARRT) (S) OR Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
2. Certified in Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
1. Graduate from an accredited school of Ultrasound Technology.
2. Registered Cardiovascular Technologist with two (2) years cardiac related experience.
3. Registered Vascular Technologist with two (2) years vascular related experience.
