Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history\.The Vehicle Engineering Organization within the Aerospace Systems Engineering and Global Product Development \(E&GPD\) organization has multiple openings for qualified applicants in the area of Flight Controls System Engineering\.The Controls System Product Center is seeking highly motivated flight control systems engineers to work as part of an integrated team in design, analysis, development, integration, test and maintenance of flight control systems for a variety of programs and platforms including aircraft and spacecraft, manned and unmanned\. Opportunities exist in Melbourne, Florida, and our California sites in Redondo Beach and Palmdale\.The candidate's duties will include the following based on individual skill set and program assignment:
Lead elements of the design, development, implementation, verification and testing hardware, architectures, algorithms, software to perform guidance, navigation and control of aircraft, spacecraft, missiles or launch vehicles\.Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in Aerospace, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering\.+ 0\-6 years of direct experience in an industry related field\.+ Demonstrated experience with control system design for air or space vehicles with some leadership of either hardware development, architecture development or algorithm development\.+ Ability to obtain and maintain a U\.S\. Government security clearancePreferred Qualifications:
+ Familiarity with flight control system development through the entire platform life cycle\.+ Masters of Science degree+ Strong People and Technical Leadership Skills; Experience leading a technical team; Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills+ Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to other skilled team members+ Existing security clearanceNorthrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce\.
