Job Description
Velocity Project (Design) Manager

As a Project (Design) Manager at Varian, you'll be part of the Velocity Engineering team to manage the development and implementation process of our Velocity and imaging informatics product lines. This role will coordinate departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. You will be responsible for working with product managers, developers and designers in our agile team structure. Partner and collaborate with the engineering teams to achieve quality through continuous build, test automation, release engineering and software testability. You will organize cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project (product on schedule and within budget constraints).

You may also participate in other functions within the Velocity engineering team which may include:

* Designs, develops and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life.

* Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.

* Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans.

* Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.

* Develops and applies software design/usability processes in the investigation of technical problems.

Job Requirements
Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge:
Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Typical Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience) and/or 2-5 years of related experience or Masters Degree with no or little experience.
