Job Description
WellPoint is the nation's leading health benefits company serving the needs of approximately 28 million medical members nationwide. Vendor Management Consultant Sr position must be located in the Richmond, VA, Atlanta, GA, St. Louis, MO or Denver,CO area. � This role is responsible for managing the overall relationship with our call center vendor with responsibility for both member facing and administrative work. Responsibilities include managing the day-to-day vendor performance per contractual service level agreements (SLA) and vendor conformity to WellPoint (WLP) enterprise standards, operational processes and management guidelines to ensure business goals are achieved for an enterprise function. � Primary duties to include, but are not limited to: �
- May oversee a vendor work team that is focused on a specific function and is responsible for daily inventory management between WLP internal teams and the vendor operations teams.
- Works with internal departments and the vendor to quickly and efficiently address, fix and/or solve member, customer and client requests and issues
- Works with both management teams to establish and accomplish business goals and objectives for the various work types
- Provides subject matter support in constructing performance-based, accountability-driven vendor/business partner agreements, statements of work, action plans and procedures as needed.
- Identifies training gaps, coordinates and may facilitate training modules
- Monitors vendor performance to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and facilitates corrective action regarding performance issues to resolution with the vendor.
- Facilitates the planning and implementation of the transition of new work items assigned to the vendor in support of strategic goals and budget.
- Reviews, reconciles and pays vendor invoices. Participates in fact-based negotiations of vendor contracts to ensure most cost effective terms. �
Requirements:
-Call center experience required, healthcare experience preferred -3+ years operational/vendor management experience required -Project implementation experience preferred -Requires a BA/BS degree in business or a related field; 7-10 years of process improvement, inventory management, contract management, project management experience; or any combination of education or experience, which would provide an equivalent background -Ability to travel internationally and domestically required
