JOB DESCRIPTIONResponsibilities:Vertical Business Development Manager-Houston, TX
This is a sales position with the primary responsibility for identifying new prospects, soliciting, selling and implementing Office Depot products and solutions to medium and large size Public Sector accounts within a defined geography. As the specialist dealing with the Public Sector, the Vertical Business Development Manager (VBDM) will apply specific knowledge of the public sector's needs, to develop new accounts.
The Vertical Business Development Manager will establish himself/herself as a trusted advisor to the Public Sector segment, by establishing and maintaining customer relationships. This position will target market by direct outside sales with customers that typically have more than 500 white-collar workers. It is possible that these customers will have multiple locations, which could be found across multiple Districts or Regions. Additionally, the Vertical Business Development Manager (VBDM) will work toward strengthening the business relationship and maximizing sales opportunities by providing holistic business solution to customers that typically purchase or have the potential to purchase from $150,000 and up in products/solutions per year.
This position will be responsible for attainment of an annual new business incremental sales goal as outlined in the Incentive Compensation Plan.
