Sodexo is currently searching for a Vice President, Business Development Sports & Leisure. This role will oversee business development process for Sports and Leisure in North America. Individual will supervise a dedicated sales team and also be assigned an individual sales budget. This position reports to the North American CEO with a dotted line to the global sales lead. We would prefer that the selected candidate reside near Chicago, IL. Responsibilities * Lead the business development team for Sports and Leisure * Lead/coordinate the business development process * Attract, develop and train segment sales team * Key role in maintaining and developing our industry associations engagement * Support operating team with account retention efforts * Coordinate all internal administrative and reporting requirements * Liaison with North American sales organization * Key member/contributor North American Sports and Leisure leadership team and Global Sports and Leisure Business Development Team Experience Preference to candidates with * B2B experience selling services with a long sales cycle in a decentralized environment. Food or FM background a plus * Experience using a consultative sales process is a plus * Experience selling to client organizations Skill Set * Business/financial acumen * Experience managing a team * Prospecting and lead development * Attraction, selection and development of management talent * Excellent communication skills * Experience developing and delivering presentations and proposals * Understanding and experience with client dynamics Education * Strong preference for candidate with undergraduate degree * MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus Other Points * Proven track record of success and personal growth * History that includes individual sales and sales management * High intellectual capacity and energy * Relocation considered. * Position to be based in Chicago * Ability to travel 50-60' * Relationships and contacts within one of our target segments (cultural destinations, conference centers, public venues, casinos) would also be a plus * Experience working with consultants and industry associations is a plus www.SodexoSalesJobs.com #LI-N Position Summary Develops and implements strategies that result in the achievement of sales, market share, account retention or market growth targets for assigned region.
