JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Description:
The Vice President, Construction Management is r esponsible for developing and overseeing renovation andcapital improvement projects for assigned assets throughout the country. This responsibility includes plans, budget, schedule and managing staff,third-party vendors and contractors.to meet the Company's standards. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Oversee renovation and major capital improvement projects from inception to completion Manage and support a national team working in diverse locations throughout U.S. Coordinate the design, approval and construction of unit improvements and renovation projects for the assigned assets within the Company's portfolios Prepare conceptual and detailed budgets and schedules for all assigned projects Accountable for identifying and aligning all required resources to execute renovation activities Oversee bid solicitation process for, and contracting with, contractors, vendors andsuppliers Manage compliance with legal, regulatory, and environmental requirements Ensure timely completion and efficient alignment of costs/expenditure to agreed budgetary and contract guidelines Develop and maintain consistent policies and practices to ensure quality, efficient and effective results Analyze and prepare on-going reports regarding project status and financial results Interact with corporate and property management staff to ensure quality and efficient completion of projects Other duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned Uphold the Steadfast Core Values and Mission Statement. Required Education and Experience: Bachelor degree in business, real estate, construction management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. 8+ years of experience in construction or apartment industry or related industry5+ years of experience managing othersThorough understanding of construction practices, permitting process and procedures, and contracting Previous experience with Property Management systems or Yardi software a plus
