Department: Corporate Compliance

The Vice President for Corporate Compliance (the CO ) serves as the focal point for all compliance activities. The CO plans, implements, and directs the compliance program for Mercy Health Services, Inc., a locally-controlled health system which includes an acute-care teaching hospital, a nursing facility, physician organizations, home health and hospice, among other service lines. The CO provides compliance advice, direction and support and ensures appropriate monitoring of practices and procedures and compliance issue resolution. The CO develops, implements and maintains standards and protocols for accurate documentation and billing, physician contracts, HIPAA Compliance etc.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Must possess a bachelors degree; five (5) years of experience in corporate compliance required; previous health care operations/health care industry experience, including knowledge of the federal health care payor programs proficient in MS Word with familiarity of Visio, Excel and Access; detail oriented, excellent grammar and written and oral communication skills; knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws, regulations and standards; Certified Healthcare Compliance Officer desired. Regular Full-time Day Shift Bachelors degree is required Certification Preferred Experience is required
