ICF International has an immediate opening for a Vice President DoD/Veteran s Affairs Account Executive who can help build ICF s business with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in the following areas: Military, veteran, and family support: Performance readiness, including human capital management, workforce development, and training Military and veteran's health care systems, including behavioral health, medical care, health IT, and applied technologies Quality of life, including morale, welfare, recreation, and family support programs Transition readiness, including support to military personnel and their families between cycles in a military career, and to and across veteran life and civilian employment Housing programs to support homeless veterans. Other areas: Cybersecurity and identity management Defense energy environment Modeling simulation. The successful candidate will provide leadership across ICF, working with Corporate Growth/Business Development (CG/BD) and Operations to enhance ICF's "brand" in these strategic markets and to sell ICF s domain expertise and implementation service offerings in these areas to DoD and VA. The ideal candidate will bring extensive insight and relationships to build upon ICF s current base of business in these Departments. Candidate must demonstrate a high level of integrity and commitment to company values, including the ability to work collaboratively across a diverse set of Groups [e.g., CG/BD (including Marketing), Operations, Admin, HR]. Candidate must be able to influence and show leadership in dealing with other ICF professionals who do not report to him or her. Key Responsibilities: The candidate will enable a multi year, "One ICF" business development strategy for DoD/VA by working across the firm to capture specific opportunities in strategic areas. This effort will entail identifying and initially qualifying the most promising near and long term opportunities; seeking buy in from business leaders across ICF to engage and execute capture; and ongoing involvement in capture and proposal strategy, development, and review; and deal closing efforts. The candidate will coordinate client meetings on specific opportunities as part of capture; the candidate will also represent ICF at a diverse array of outside events to further develop our brand and industry insights across the defense and veteran community. Basic Qualifications: At least 10 years demonstrated professional selling experience to DoD and/or VA re. military, veteran, and family support issues and/or other areas identified above. Possesses a strong network of defense and veteran affairs leaders, and a demonstrated understanding of trends/needs shaping the federal defense market for military and civilian personnel. Extensive experience capturing and closing deals valued at a minimum of $25 million in revenue. A minimum of a Bachelor s Degree. Professional Skills Critical for This Position: Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, organization, partnering, and leadership skills. Ability to support campaign planning process. Ability to prioritize and stay focused and committed for longer term captures. Significant relationships in contractor community. Ability to network and coordinate meetings with potential clients and teaming partners. Analytic skills relevant to CG/BD (e.g., ability to assess teaming strategies, ability to research and make informed go/no go decisions, ability to support/engage in price to win/black hat sessions).
