Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the CFO, he/she will develop, direct, and monitor all aspects of Reimbursement operations including patient insurance verification, claims billing, payer accounts receivable, patient collections, denied claims processing, cash posting, document collections, and inbound and outbound calls. Responsible for daily oversight of Reimbursement operational policies, objectives, and initiatives and provides direction and leadership to departmental management to ensure for departmental compliance, effectiveness, and efficiencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors receivables and collections to provide detailed analysis of accounts receivable, number of days sales outstanding, and collection trends of payers and products
Monitors, measures and reports on operational issues, opportunities, development plans and achievements; evaluates results against the established goals to determine if departmental and organizational objectives are being met
Analyzes and reports Reimbursement trends and global concerns to senior management to ensure corrective actions and mitigation of future occurrences
Establishes and maintains appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of departmental and direct report performance
Develops and implements best practices, standards, policies, and workflows for the department in accordance with the principles, policies and procedures of the organization
Provides leadership, motivation, coaching, and development to department management, providing specific and measurable objectives in areas such as people management, leadership, and quality
Act as liaison between departments to achieve goals and objectives in a customer-focused manner
Develops, prepares, and maintains the Reimbursement budget including expense control, monitoring, and reporting.
Maintains regular and consistent attendance


KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university and seven to ten years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience. A minimum of five years of management experience required.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from employees, management, patients, and vendors
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages utilizing electronic spread sheets.
Strong organizational planning and development skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
