Weston Financial Group is seeking an experienced, self-motivated individual to join our team of dedicated professionals as the Vice President, Senior Wealth & Planning Strategist. This is a business development role that will focus on externally sourcing and producing new wealth management business in the Tri-State Area of Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. This is an exciting opportunity for a Wealth Management professional with a proven history in independently growing a highly effective sales referral system and in initiating contacts for developing and closing new business.
Weston Financial Group is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Washington Trust Company and part of diversified group of Wealth Management professionals in the tri-state area.
This provides opportunities to work with the entire Wealth Management Division in the Washington Trust family including The Washington Trust Company and Halsey Associates in addition to Weston Financial Group.
You ll be joining a team of people who work with you to provide customized solutions, not pre-determined packages. By working with the entire Wealth Management team, you will be able to succeed by representing a full range of financial products and services to your prospective clients such as investment management, financial planning, trust & estate administration, tax planning, and insurance.
On any given day, you will meet with prospects to explain the company's wealth management services, discuss the advantages of proper planning, and obtain background data to strategize and recommend appropriate services. You will cultivate and maintain relationships with various centers of influence including life underwriters, attorneys, and accountants; access corporate executives for pursuing financial planning benefit programs; and participate in community activities to enhance the position of the company, increase visibility and develop new referral sources. You may also conduct or coordinate seminars on a variety of wealth management topics.
We are looking for an experienced sales professional who will be able to work independently to externally source prospective clients and referral sources; develop and implement business and marketing plans; and ask the right questions to help clients with their financial concerns. With Weston Financial, you will have the support of your manager and team members to ensure your prospects receive the right internal resources to transitions to highly satisfied clients. We offer a competitive incentive based compensation plan based on your revenue production.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of recent outside sales experience in the financial services industry and must have demonstrated experience in superior work results in developing a wealth management client base. Additional requirements include:
* A strong working knowledge of the following products and services: financial planning, investment management strategies and solutions, life insurance, annuities, estate and trust administration.
* Previous sales experience and a proven capacity to increase client base and grow AUM.
* BA in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
* Detail oriented, exceptional organizational skills.
* Excellent professional, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong PC skills, Intermediate level Word and Excel skills.
* Series 7 license is required for this position and may be obtained after employment.
