VICE PRESIDENT OF HOTEL OPERATIONS

We are looking for a dynamic leader with high energy and enthusiasm for excellence! The Vice President of Hotel Operations will be responsible for managing overall operations for multiple hotel locations. The role will provide clear direction through strategic planning, team retention and motivation, administrative and financial controls, and profit standards including managing the top and bottom lines while operating within budgetary guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Design and implement monthly operating reviews of operating and financial performance
* Drive organizational excellence in operations and customer service

*

Effectively manages financial performance while upholding quality standards and maximizing the guest experience
*

Achieves annual budget in revenues, costs and profits through accounting diligence and expenditure controls and proficient accounting practices
*

Successfully balances the needs and expectations of guests, employees, Management Company and Ownership Group
*

Enforces high standards of quality, service excellence, and cleanliness throughout the properties

* Select, interview, train, coach and mentor leadership members ensuring they perform in accordance with hotel standards

*

Promotes high morale and vision/culture with all associates utilizing various programs

* Conducts regional management meetings on a consistent basis; fostering open communication and best practices

*

Ensures the hotels are operating within budgeted guidelines of profitability through effective controls

* Creates annual budget for multiple hotel operations

*

Develops a proactive strategy to increase occupancy/ADR

REQUIREMENTS

*

Minimum of 5+ years as a Hotel General Manager (300+ rooms) or Director of Operations of a large full service hotel (700 rooms +); Regional Director of Hotel Operations experiencepreferred
*

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
*

Strong business acumen, attention to detail and an effective communicator
*

Must take initiative and strive for continuous improvement; ability to implement innovative ideas and create business solutions
*

Self-motivated, well-organized, goal-oriented, and results-driven professional who leads by example
*

Positive, creative, innovative approach to problem solving and the ability to exercise judgment and discretion
*

Ability to interface with legal, finance, construction and development professionals at all levels
*

Thorough understanding of financial statements, budgets, and cost/inventory control
