Schulte Hospitality Group (SHG) is one of the fastest growing hotel management companies with 72 hotels under the Marriott, Hilton, IHG, and Starwood brands. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, SHG is looking for a Vice President of Sales that will provide leadership and support of the sales and marketing efforts for the company while overseeing and directing the Regional Director of Sales team in order to drive world class results. The Vice President of Sales reports to the Senior Vice President of Operations. The position requires someone with strong leadership and organizational skills to drive the companys revenue expectations; establishing and directing the goals of the Regional Directors of Sales through motivation and clear communication; ensuring positive team member and owner relations; strong sales skills; multi-tasking; initiative; and business professionalism. At least 10 years of hospitality sales experience including 5 years of managing a team is preferred. This position is based out of SHGs corporate office in Louisville, KY. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Production, management and efficiency of regional sales team to include overall production for entire region, achievement of their assigned goals, adherence to guidelines, and employee morale. Hire, train, develop and mentor effective Regional and Hotel level sales team. Communicate corporate directives and information to sales team. Guidance and support on development, solicitation and closing group bookings. Support, lead and participate in scheduled weekly, bi-weekly and monthly conference calls. Work in connection with Senior Vice President to regularly establish and monitor goals and production, to include accurate and timely forecasting of anticipated sales. Develop and implement the total sales and marketing efforts for SHG, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, supervising activities of sales personnel, and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction. Cultivate and maintain relationships with regional and hotel sales team to help increase team unity and production. Develop strategies to achieve personal and sales team goals, and act as a mentor to teammates in an effort to help others achieve their individual goals. Participate in joint sales calls or sales blitz with the regional sales team. Maintain product knowledge of the various brands through established company standards. Stay abreast of industry trends by reading industry papers and travel related articles and attending industry events. Maintain ethical and professional standards of sales service. Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
