Provide leadership to the Operation team and support staff to safely execute inbound and or outbound activities with a focus on quality, service, and productivity. A safety champion that leads in providing an exceptional customer experience by meeting or exceeding service level agreements. A plan, schedules, conducts, and coordinates assigned work, monitors work for execution to standards. Partners with other functions both internal and external to develop or adapt the accepted best practices, and ensures effective communication and coordination on assigned projects.
The primary function of this position is to manage the daily operations focusing on the safety of our associates, delivery process, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction while maximizing operational efficiencies, controlling costs within the budget and meeting corporate financial goals.
Implementing and executing warehouse action plans for all daily operations within the DC in a manner consistent with company policy. Absorbs Tyco's leadership essentials and demonstrates them in the day to day execution of their tasks, and builds a positive atmosphere in the site through equitable treatment of personnel and a focus on the customer.
Provide leadership of warehouse supervisors and engineering staff to ensure the safe, clean and efficient operation of the warehouse. Develop and implement Shipping work schedules and assignments to ensure efficient operation. Allocate equipment so that it is utilized in the most efficient manner. Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure that a sound maintenance program is implemented. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of material handling equipment
Develop and manage outbound process to ensure shipments are correct, received in a timely fashion and stored to ensure a high level of picking productivity. Support Quality and Inventory Control goals and improvements.
Assist in developing meaningful metrics regarding warehouse activity are prepared on a timely basis and effectively maintained. Review and monitor the achievement of operational goals and standards. Review warehouse operations daily to ensure the warehouse is 5s. Lead operations in a manner that promotes safety and is compliant with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
Reports to Sr. Manager of Distribution Center Operations
In addition this position requires a person to be a safety champion that provides leadership to distribution center supervisory staff that promotes a performance based culture focused providing Tyco's customers with an exemplary customer experience

Education: MA /MS or Equivalent - preferably Business degree
Experience: BA / BS or Equivalent - preferably Business degree
Travel: 5%
