VHB's growing Watertown, MA team is looking for a Water Resources Engineer to join its office in to support our water resource, ecological restoration, transportation and environmental projects. VHB's passionate professionals include engineers, scientists, planners, and designers who partner with public and private clients in the transportation, real estate, institutional, and energy industries, as well as federal, state, and local governments. Together, we work to improve mobility, enhance communities and economic vitality, and balance development and infrastructure needs with environmental stewardship. Responsibilities: Lead multi-disciplinary projects with hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic, sediment transport and water quality focus including interaction with staff and clients Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of water resources projects Create and expand technical resources of staff. Act as a mentor and aid in staff development. Conduct a wide array of water resources related studies and analysis Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Self-motivated Attention to detail Ability to think critically Strong computer skills Excel in working in a team environment Qualifications: BS/BA in civil/environmental engineering or related discipline 5-10 years of water resources engineering and analysis experience Project management of relevant projects Hydrology and riverine hydraulic experience Understanding in the physical, chemical and hydraulic properties of water resource hydrodynamic modeling projects Proficient with HEC-RAS and familiarity with bridge scour analysis PE or ability to obtain in 12 months Please submit applications online.
