Dewberry is seeking an exceptional candidate to serve as a Water Resources Senior Project Manager for our growing water engineering practice within our New York, NY office. This is an opportunity for an individual with technical experience and business acumen to become part of a renowned team of professionals working in a great environment and applying the latest technology to a wide variety of water engineering projects. This position will encompass numerous aspects of water engineering services with an emphasis on flood resilience, green infrastructure planning and design, storm water modeling and drainage studies, and water infrastructure development. The position will include project management, sub-consultant management, quality control, marketing and client management. Additionally, this position will require the development and review of technical reports, proposals, contract documents, resources studies, computer modeling and data analysis. Candidates will be working with state agencies, private clients, New York City and other municipalities, and public utilities to provide a wide variety of water resource engineering support.
Candidate will serve as a water resources senior project manager on variety of projects related to coastal and integrated flood resilience planning and design projects, drainage analysis and stormwater management practices with an emphasis on green infrastructure, integrated hydrodynamic modeling, water infrastructure planning and design, risk assessment and related services. Work responsibilities may include:

Leading major proposals, managing, leading, executing and providing technical support on a variety of water related as well as interdisciplinary projects.
Communicating with clients, establishing goals and objectives for project teams, and scheduling and coordinating resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance expectations of the client.
Promoting water resources project capabilities by presenting at various conferences, seminars and prospective clients.","Bachelor's degree (Master's Degree preferred) in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field.

15+ years of escalating professional experience in water or water resources engineering, design & modelling; however exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered.
PE License in New York or ability to reciprocate within 3 months is required.
Project administrative expertise in New York City, and with state and federal level contracts.
High competency levels in multiple disciplines including hydrology, hydraulics, master planning, feasibility studies, stormwater design, steady state and dynamic modeling, conveyance systems design, hydraulic structures, pump stations, watershed assessment, waste water utilities, and stream restoration.
Experience in modeling software preferred especially in relation to stormwater modeling, coastal modeling and resiliency such as storm surge, tidal hydraulics modeling, wave generation and propagation modeling, coastal sediment transport and morphology models.
Experience in fluid-structure interaction or CFD models preferred
Experience in design and construction of coastal and/or hydraulic structures preferred
Experience managing a team of professionals with a wide array of skill sets, work with project teams and provide planning, technical leadership, and coordination with supporting technical disciplines to complete integrated design.
Proven ability to effectively achieve positive results in marketing and business development including experience preparing technical and cost proposals for municipal and private clients.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be willing to travel as some travel may be required.
