Web Application DeveoperDuration 18 monthsDUTIES Review end user requirements and specification documents. Interview end users, project managers or developers to gather or refine requirements. Research source data locations to validate requirements. Design data models and metadata for reuse. Develop programs, processes, scripts and reports. Develop and maintain operational and system level documentation. Participate in JAD sessions as needed to review end user requirements for enhancements for the new application development. Modify and develop the queries used in the Ad Hoc environment that will be used to access data from Oracle and SQL Server data structures. Provide production support for system end users, including: training, responding to questions, resolving problems and providing ad hoc reporting. Assist in developing a Change Management Process and Procedures to enable smooth and efficient production migrations for all new applications. Assist with data modeling and query tuning to achieve maximum performance while retrieving data from database structures. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: The Consultant must meet all of the following minimum requirements: 1. One (1) year experience within the last five (5) years working with Business Analysts or End Users documenting business rules, new system requirements, test plans and test cases. 2. Completed one (1) new application development or one (1) new data warehouse development project within the last three (3) years. 3. Two (2) years experience within the last five (5) years designing and programming new custom web applications utilizing tools such as C#.NET, Java, JavaScript, XML, AJAX, SOAP or MS/CRM while using SQL Server and Oracle databases. Programming includes the development of custom web services and user interfaces. 4. Two (2) years experience within the last five (5) years designing and developing ETL programs with either Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or Cognos Data Manager to extract and load data from/to SQL Server or Oracle databases. 5. Two (2)years experience within the last five(5) years using ETL Tools to implement new data structures that demonstrate good architecture design, efficient database management, and incorporates data manipulation functions, procedures and SQL code. 6. One (1) year experience within the last five (5) years designing and developing Cognos dashboards or reports using Report Studio. 7. One (1) year experience within the last five (5) years working with System Development Methodology (SDM) or System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
