Web Designer/Application Developer
The Web Designer/Application Developer provides web-based application design, development, testing and maintenance, as well as basic database development and information assurance support for the Department of Defense (DoD). This position consults with primary stakeholders and senior management, aids users and senior management in conducting user needs analysis and designs and develops database integration solutions and user interfaces.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the integration of CNI Core Competencies into daily functions
Provides software and web development services, which may include defining requirements, software/web design, construction, testing, maintenance tasks, and database construction.
Performs web-based GUI development, maintenance, functional enhancement and bug fixing.
Monitors, analyzes, and optimizes website and application performance.
Performs basic database development tasks such as manipulating data, implementing joined queries for reports, importing/exporting data by SQL and PL/SQL, and building functions in stored procedures.
Coordinates with senior technical staff to design, establish and maintain web applications in a 24x7 environment. Supports government software platforms and resolves front-end technical issues with team members in web environments/applications.
Coordinates with senior technical staff to implement new technical skills on existing applications to meet new requirements.
Collaborates with Technical Working Group and Configuration Control Board to improve database and web-based applications.
Streamlines and automates functions to include messaging, data transmission, and database interfaces.
Implements web and database tasks and efficiently identifies and resolves problems with GUI for users.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience. Minimum five years of Oracle development experience in SQL and PL/SQL. Minimum three years of general web development experience. At least 1 year of Oracle Portal development experience with Fusion Middleware. Experienced in Single Sign-On (SSO), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Digital Certificate, and HTTP server (Apache or IIS).

Ability to analyze and develop complex design objectives
Ability to analyze and report on web usage statistics using an application such as Google Analytics
Excellent computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows / Office and Adobe Creative Suite
