Job Overview The purpose of this position is to interact with our guests and ensure they have a great experience when staying at the hotel. Bussers are responsible for the prompt bussing of all restaurant tables and for assisting banquets in food serving functions. At all times, Bussers are expected to be attentive to our guests' needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed. General Responsibilities Serve water and other beverages to guests when requested. Maintain cleanliness of entire dining area as well as service area. Remove soiled dishes from tables in a quiet manner so as not to disturb customers. Reset tables according to restaurant specifications. Keep dish area clean, organized and properly maintain equipment. Keep restaurant adequately supplied with clean plates, glasses, utensils and silverware. Perform additional responsibilities including cleaning the restrooms, taking out the trash, mopping floors and other assorted cleaning duties. Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times. Perform other duties as requested. Work closely with other hotel personnel to promptly respond to guest requests or problems to ensure their satisfaction. Education High school diploma or GED desirable. Qualifications Neat in appearance and courteous. Ability to deal with general public. Ability to perform under pressure. Must be dependable and honest. Must fully cooperate with other staff and assist in any area of the Restaurant operations. Must have ability to communicate effectively. Must be able to work well with others.
