Job Description

Dow Corning seeks a Windows Client and Server Infrastructure Engineer to provide leadership for design, development and deployment of infrastructure technology solutions.

The Windows Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for complex, multi-site, multi domain activities and integration. You will manages the troubleshooting and resolution of server and client compatibility issues based on system architecture, project requirements, and customer expectations.

The Infrastructure Engineer will partner with Global subject matter experts and application owners on engineering related solutions and issues.

Major Activities:
Dow Cornings Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:
- Managing the client and server images and hardware lifecycle
-Developing and managing server and client infrastructure plans to meet the project goals
-Working with client vendor on global PC refresh.
-Developing, documenting, communicating and enforcing a technology standards policy surrounding servers and clients
-Developing, documenting, making recommendations and communicating plans for investing in IT infrastructure, including tools and techniques for managing infrastructure
-Designing, developing and overseeing implementation of end-to-end integrated systems
Developing and implementing methods to measure and report infrastructure performance, reliability, etc.
-Working closely with client and server vendors on current and new products
-Executing and operating disaster recovery procedures
-Providing 3rd level systems support (24 x 7)

The selected candidate must have a proven ability to be an all-round infrastructure leader with the confidence and ability to consult at many levels, including an understanding of the following: -Windows Server and Windows Client OS (past, present, and future versions) -General understanding of VMWare for both Client and Server -Storage Area Networks(SANs), Network Attached Storage (NAS) -etwork (LAN, WAN, and MAN) -DataBase (Oracle, SQL) -IT Service Management (ITSM) -Client and Mobile technologies -Core Infrastructure Applications (Active Directory, SCCM, Exchange, etc.) -Disaster Recovery -Creation and distribution of client and server operating system.
