Position Statement: The Brown Forman Whiskey Specialist serves as a dedicated whiskey portfolio resource in the assigned territory and focus market. The Brown Forman Whiskey Specialist is held accountable for growing distribution, increasing depletions, and establishing effective pull-through programming within key on and off premise accounts. They will be held accountable for education of brands to trade and consumers and create brand advocacy for the Premium Whiskey Portfolio. This role will also work closely with the Brown-Forman Premium Whiskey Market Manager to align on key market priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Key Account Development 75%


* Establish positive customer rapport in assigned accounts
* Establish positive working relationships with Young's Market Company counterparts, Brown-Forman Premium Whiskey Manager, and Greenhouse Agency Whiskey Brand Champions.
* Increase points of distribution and net sales within assigned accounts
* Ensure premium whiskey brands are featured in the assigned accounts: Back bar visibility, menu placements, drink features, POS/Merchandising, floor display and shelf set. Ensure flawless execution and maximum effectiveness of market activities
* Collaborate with BF Premium Whiskey manager and develop local pull through programming to meet customers need while aligning with brand strategies.
* Champion the effort in winning at the point of purchase, by building lasting trade relationships and working unusual hours including late nights and weekends.

Events, Education, Training 25%


* Build brand advocacy with on and off premise key stakeholders
* Wait staff trainings, tastings, dinners, mixology education
* Lead as BF Whiskey expert and act as resource within Young's Market Company

Job Specific Competencies

Sales Tasks & Activities: Knowledge of processes, tools, techniques and theory behind selling the organization's products or services.

Knowledge of Customers & Sales Channels: Knowledge of specific customer's business operations and ability to coordinate multiple and diverse options for selling the organization's products and services to each. Knowledge of and ability to utilize customer profile and information.

Knowledge of Product Line: Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey, Gentleman Jack, Jack Single Barrel Family of Brands, Jack Daniel's Sinatra Select, Old Forester Family of Brands, Woodford Family of Brand, Collingwood, new whiskey innovation brands

Entrepreneurial Approach: Thinks constantly about creating innovative, non-traditional programs designed around where the target consumer works, lives and plays. Identifies, implements and ensures proper execution of relevant events and sponsorships

Qualifications

Qualified Candidates should possess:


* 5 years of sales experience
* Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience
* Excellent communication, negotiation, analytical and objection handling skills
* Prior experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office environment
* Proven abilities to develop selling strategies targeted to enhance wine and spirit sales within an account
* Proven track record of successful selling
* Ability to work with management, colleagues, and customers throughout the business and industry at every level
* Key attributes (IE; entrepreneurial self starter, ambitious personality, accountable and action oriented, etc.)
* Must possess valid driver's license, reliable vehicle and clean DMV record
