As Account Manager, the incumbent is responsible for developing long-term relationships with a portfolio of customer agencies (determined primarily by geographic location), connecting with key business executives and stakeholders, and serving as the main point of contact for agency needs with a focus on product marketing, sales, and enhancements. The Account Manager is expected to maintain a high degree of customer contact and familiarity with the agencies to conduct organizational assessment of business needs and how AASHTOWare and Info Tech products (ITI) are being utilized. Serving as a liaison between agencies and cross-functional internal teams Account Managers are responsible for ensuring the timely and successful delivery of Info Tech solutions according to customer needs. A consistent expectation to manage and develop customer accounts for maximization, and mutual interest, initiating and maintaining favorable relationships through consistent communication and organizational acumen. The position requires the marketing, business development and sales of AASHTOWare and ITI products in both the DOT market and the private sector. Initiative, prospecting and strong business development skills are a must with the ability to work with minimal supervision representing ITI solutions for construction/ contract management, and electronic bidding. Extensive travel and trade show attendance is required.
