JOB DUTIES:

Under the direction of the Office Manager/Administrative Specialist, serve as the Chief's and the division's receptionist in an extremely fast paced administrative and medical office. Answer and screen a high volume of telephone calls. Act as back up to the office manager in her absence. Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Chief and the division. Assist with any special projects as assigned.



JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to work efficiently and calmly under extreme pressure. Demonstrate the ability to answer, screen, re-direct, and transfer a heavy load of phone calls using multi line phone set with intercoms. Demonstrate strong organizational skills to facilitate an extremely busy and demanding office environment efficiently and calmly under extreme pressure. Ability to set priorities that accurately reflect the importance of the jobs responsibilities, working independently and following through on assignments with frequent interruptions. Ability to handle deadline pressures, multiple projects, while maintaining daily task oriented duties. The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships on all levels, as well as maintaining patient confidentiality. PC proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Email environment. Demonstrate skills in using appropriate grammar and correct spelling, type a minimum of 55 wpm with accuracy. Demonstrate flexibility within the office to maintain and assure coverage as needed. Ability to conduct oneself professionally at all times using customer service skills while interacting with patients, physicians and personnel. Demonstrate skills in travel scheduling, accommodations, and conference set-up logistics.
