The UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management seeks an outstanding anesthesiologist with a strong interest in pursuing an academic career at the rank of Associate Professor, or Professor. Rank will be determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate.

Responsibilities include direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of anesthesiology residents and fellows, medical students, and other trainees. This position will have primary clinical responsibilities in general anesthesiology and in the subspecialty of cardiovascular thoracic anesthesiology. Candidates with a demonstrated experience in the field and a record of grant supported, goal oriented research will be given first consideration. Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license prior to employment and be certified with the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). Candidates with anesthesiology subspecialty training eligible for ABA subspecialty certification will be expected to obtain that certification within two (2) years of subspecialty training completion.
