Art Director



The Art Director reports to the Design Group Manager and is responsible for the execution of creative from concept to layout, through to finished art. Meeting client s marketing strategies and objectives within specified deadlines. This role needs the ability to jump in at any point and create visually effective designs and concepts that heightens creative standards. Lastly, they have experience in seeing through large-scale campaigns and knowing where they can take them further without hesitation or worries about the obstacles ahead.

The Art Director role demonstrates exceptionally high standards in design and management skills while propelling strategic thinking, effective concept and brand cohesiveness. The position presents a talented individual with the unique opportunity to concept, execute and present to key client stakeholders, creating new standards and pushing boundaries in the process.



Role and Responsibilities

* Work closely with Creative teams and Account teams to interpret and guide client directives towards effective creative products

* Take creative direction and turn work around quickly to meet deadlines.

* Experience across disciplines (advertising, direct marketing, interactive) preferred.

* Effective oral and written communications skills

* Computer proficiency; solid knowledge of design programs (MAC platform)

* Problem-solving ability

* Ability to work well within a team setting

* Exhibits decisive problem solving ability

* Keeps pace with new trends in visual arts, typography, illustration, photography, as well as media and technology

* Direct photographers, illustrators, designers and production staff to ensure proper production of campaign elements

* Apply critical and conceptual thinking to brand and marketing strategies

* Present designs and concepts internally and to clients

* Produce flawless designs and concepts

* Express ideas clearly and confidently

* Offer highly-conceptual thinking

* Understand interaction design, functionality, user interfaces and navigation

* Take creative direction and turn work around quickly to meet deadlines.





Required Qualifications, Experience and Education

* Bachelor s degree in related discipline preferred

* 5+ years of hands-on experience creating exceptional print & digital experiences

* Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite

* Experience working collaboratively with strategists, designers and copywriters



Must be able to satisfy requirements for pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and motor vehicle records check.
