With the future in mind, FMC is building a center-led Talent Management team. The Associate Director of Learning & Organizational Development will be instrumental in creating a Center of Excellence (COE) within FMC HR, providing thought leadership and expertise and establishing the philosophy, framework and operating cadence for learning and development programs globally. The role will be responsible for succession and talent planning, coaching, assessments, and enterprise-wide leadership curriculum.
The Associate Director of Learning & Organizational Development (L&OD) will provide a range of consultation services to executive leaders and senior management on key strategies and initiatives to drive and enable a high performance, high growth culture across FMC. Reporting to the Director, Global Talent Management, this role works collaboratively across the business, functions and HR to design, develop, and implement broad-based learning, and leadership and organizational development processes, programs and interventions, which support the business strategy and lead to continuous improvement of organizational and individual performance.
* Build the company's Learning & Organizational Development programs, policies and processes to address business needs and advance the talent agenda. Lead the design and development of the framework for global, regional and local learning and development programs, online tools, and coaching resources. Define support from center, region, and business. Continually refresh to keep programs and processes aligned to the business needs.
Develop effective communication and training materials for a selection of these programs across FMC.
Design and continuously improve enterprise talent management and succession planning processes, tools and reporting. Develop mechanisms for the identification and development of Key Talent, ensuring visibility to senior management, and engagement through action learning and development assignments.
Continuously improve enterprise goal management and performance management processes and tools.
Support the design, administration, and analysis of employee engagement and/or culture surveys.
Partner and collaborate closely with regional and functional HR leaders to implement core L&OD strategies and processes locally.
Provide organization development support to clients at all levels across the business, based on the strategic and operational goals of FMC. This will include uncovering needs and designing and implementing interventions as needed, which may include facilitating workshops, coaching leaders to lead change, and providing guidance to teams as they work to become more effective.
Develop mechanisms for measuring impact of various initiatives as well as ongoing tracking, analysis and enhancements.
Identify opportunities to leverage technology to support key processes and drive Talent Management outcomes. * Manage the vendors/partners in executing effectively deliver of programs and initiatives.
HR Subject Matter Expertise: Knowledgeable in multiple HR practice areas (Talent Management, Leadership Development, Organization Development/Organization Effectiveness, Change management, Learning, etc.) with mastery in two or more. Able to leverage best practice knowledge and experience to propose innovative and integrated solutions to business opportunities.
Business Solution Design & Integration: Designs, creates, and develops integrated, whole system strategies or solutions to meet business needs, driving cultural, large-scale transformation; leverages technology as appropriate to drive scalability and efficiency.
Business Partnership, Advising & Consulting: Develops strong consulting and partnering relationship with clients and HR colleagues by building trust, proposing integrated solutions and conveying a firm understanding of the client s business drivers and needs. Is widely viewed as credible, trustworthy and is relied upon for input on business decision-making.
Analytics & Insights: Leverages data from multiple sources to analyze and understand key business trends and patterns; uses analytics and insights to drive key changes or interventions.
Program & Project Management: Strategically manages and oversees the delivery of an integrated set of business -aligned projects to achieve desired organizational and functional objectives; ensures field ready implementation.
Interpersonal Competence: Establishing and sustaining trusting relationships by accurately perceiving and interpreting one s own and others emotions and behavior in the context of the political environment; leveraging insights to effectively manage one s own responses and reactions.
* BA required. Masters in Organizational Development, Leadership, Adult Learning or related field strongly preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in roles responsible for organizational development, leadership and people development. Experience working in a global role.
* Strong technical/professional expertise in the areas of adult learning, learning and executive development, organizational development consulting and learning/instructional design.
* Strong project management skills, including a proven track record of leading large, complex projects using standard project management practices and tools.
* Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, communication and consulting skills. Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at the most senior levels in the organization.
* Ability to build collaborative, trustworthy relationships across functions and geographies.
