ASSOCIATE PRODUCTION ANALYST

SUMMARY

Responsible for serving as the primary point of technical and educational support for software products developed by Alliant Insurance that can come from inside and outside the organization. The Software Engineer relies on a broad knowledge of software products and good working relationships with other IT and corporate teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Responds to all production system support requests;
* Possesses broad system knowledge and access to all technical documentation for timely dispositioning of requests;
* Maintains the relationship between relevant IT and business representatives during outages, degradations of performance, and changes;
* Ensures support issues identified as true software defects are entered as bugs with full reproduction steps;
* Performs CMS website maintenance and updates;
* Performs operational workload in accordance with departmental and product service level agreements;
* Provides feedback to Manager on areas where operational support can be automated or transferred to another team;
* In consultation with the Manager and other team members, updates training and documentation materials;
* Represents the Development team in change control and related deployment planning sessions, ensuring changes follow governance steps and affected teams are on script;
* Monitors the back out queues, exception logs, and other areas specified by Development;
* In order to align support coverage with service level agreements, working hours are often staggered with other members of the team;
* Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Bachelor s degree in Communications or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 2 years experience with software product support, implementations, and information technology exposure

SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Logical troubleshooting to create reproduction steps
Understanding of Agile development methodology
Ability to interface with a wide spectrum of people, from senior executives to potential clients
Genuine interest to advocate and communicate the needs of internal customers
Ability to clearly understand business processes in order to communicate them to Software Developers
General Microsoft Office products experience in Outlook, Power Point, Word and Excel
Experience with Freshdesk, Service-Now, and Visual Studio Team Services
