JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY The Auditor Contract II maximizes the Hospital's Managed Care revenue opportunities by identifying and correcting payment deficiencies from Managed Care payors. Negotiates with Managed Care companies for reimbursement of payment deficiencies. Functions as a primary liaison externally to Managed Care payors by interpreting the contract as well as the Hospital's charging and documentation practices. Collaborates with the Senior Clinical Audit Specialist in providing professional assistance to Patient Financial Services on payment delays and to patient Representatives responding to patient inquiries/billing complaints. Collaborates with the Office of General Counsel and Billing Department to solve reconciliation and collection matters. Contributes to the decrease in aged receivables by developing procedures to elicit prompt payment from Managed Care payors. Provides assistance to the Internal Audit Department by adding focus and emphasis to their departmental audits. Identifies revenue enhancement opportunities for the Managed Care Department. Performs special projects or duties as assigned by the Director of Managed Care. AA/EOE Required:
* Bachelor's Degree.
* Excellent Written and oral communication skills.
* Proficiency in data analysis.
* Master's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
* Three to five years of relevant experience in a managed care organization, consulting firm, hospital system and/or hospital is preferred.
* Strong negotiating skills.
