Summary of Job Function
Travels to assigned work locations as required according to customer and organizational needs. Consistently delivers high quality service thereby ensuring superior customer satisfaction. Demonstrates competence using available test equipment to successfully troubleshoot and service clinical equipment. Performs safety testing, quality control, preventive maintenance, repair, calibration and evaluation of clinical equipment to ensure its accuracy and performance. Assists with staff training and participates in the Emergency On-Call program. Maintains a professional business-like relationship with both internal and external customers. Performs other duties as assigned.
AAS degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Trade School and/or equivalent work/military experience in electronics, electrical/biomedical engineering or related field. OEM certification on Ventilators, Defibrillators, Telemetry and other critical care equipment preferred. Minimum 3 to 5 years of hands on experience in Biomedical engineering field, related hospital experience as a BME Technician or a medical equipment field service technician preferred
