JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Summary:The Business Development Manager is designated as a hunter to drive Rinchem s healthy growth and profit targets. This individual finds, develops and closes deals in excess of $100K of recurring annual revenue for the company. This individual also plays a key role in driving Rinchem s revenue diversification by refining Rinchem s approach to selling freight forwarding services and mentoring colleagues to effectively win new freight forwarding contracts.
Primary Responsibilities of the Job:
Responsible for finding and securing new revenue streams or projects in excess of $100K of annual revenue with new and existing customers
Under the guidance of the Director of Business Development, develop and implement a strategy for targeting growth in Rinchem s freight
Under the guidance of the Director of Business Development, mentor colleagues to effectively sell freight forwarding services through formal training and joint sales calls.
Manage current and targeted key account relationships to strategically grow Rinchem s revenue streams with assigned accounts.
Under the guidance of the Director of Business Development, lead the development of market strategy and innovation to increase the marketability and profitability of Rinchem services.
Foster strong relationships with influential people (executives and decision makers) of current and potential Rinchem clients.
Continually probe for the needs / requirements of the organization and its individuals and document findings / pain clearly in statements of work and/or call reports.
Prioritize sales targets/projects and propose winning partnerships with assigned targeted accounts.
Prepare oral/written presentations demonstrating how Rinchem s services can fulfill the needs / requirements of target accounts.
Discover and honestly address any objections or unanswered questions that clients may raise.
Creatively, clearly, and boldly ask for orders in quantity and manner to meet the pre-established sales goals.
Meets targets as set under the direction of the Director of Business Development.
Responsible for strength of pipeline and new revenue generation.
Responsible for increasing capacity utilization for at least one under-performing CSC.
Achieves Sales Value Chain (SVC) indicators designed specifically for this role.
Other duties assigned
4 year degree
Experience & Education
Track record of progressive sales experience
3+ years of sales management experience preferred
Previous experience in selling freight forwarding services
Previous logistics or 3PL experience highly desired
Previous chemical industry, transportation, or warehousing experience highly desired
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to influence C Level audience
Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with or ability to master Salesforce CRM
Ability to master other Rinchem proprietary software programs
Must be able to travel up to 50%
Ability to relocate preferred. Rinchem is willing to consider a virtual/home office, but would prefer this position
be located in Albuquerque or close to other Rinchem service centers. Must be able to pass physical, randon drug screening, and background
