POSITION SUMMARY: Demonstrated ability to proficiently utilize Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and 3D Scanning equipment and to guide and direct activities working from concept through final implementation of these metrology equipment and the related software s (Calypso & Polyworks). RESPONSIBILITIES: CALIBRATION Performs calibration on various types of semi complex and complex electronic measuring and test equipment (M&TE). Demonstrates ability to proficiently set up complex calibration test conditions interpreting calibration procedures, engineering specifications, schematics, or related documents. Documents and evaluates historical data to determine calibration intervals. Diagnoses, develops calibration procedures, and calibrates newly acquired M&TE. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of electronic principles and calibration requirements per National and International Standards. CUSTOMER SUPPORT Performs expert demand maintenance on a wide variety of complex hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel or electronic systems and components for difficult and/or unique repairs and salvages. Plans and coordinates investigations into customer reports of technical product or service problems. Reviews performance trends, reports, and documentation regarding malfunctioning or damaged products. Recommends and may provide on site technical assistance to repair, replace or take other corrective actions; may perform rework or inspection of Parker's fielded hardware. Maintains and analyzes detailed performance and maintenance service records. May instruct customers on the operation and proper use and maintenance of equipment and ensures accuracy of work instructions and service handbooks and bulletins. Facilitates coordination with OEM divisions to complete corrective actions. ALL SPECIALTIES: Demonstrate ability to proficiently utilize all lab or related test equipment. Maintain up to date qualification data and daily log books on each project. Recommend new techniques, systems, procedures and preventative maintenance to improve overall efficiency. Recommend alternative methods when problems arise to support schedules. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills. Must demonstrate effective leadership skills. This includes motivating, training, directing less experienced personnel, and supporting company policies. Interface with employees from other functional areas i.e. design engineering, process manufacturing, quality control and vendors. Perform other related responsibilities. Job Requirements: Seven years related experience, trade or military training or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities. Thorough understanding and demonstrated ability to read engineering drawings, sketches, schematics and procedures. Basic PC and electronic console skills where applicable. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Personal hand tools may be required. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
