Description/Job Summary

Operates special purpose equipment, conventional (lathe/or mill) and or numerical control (NC) machines for fabrication of metallic and nonmetallic parts that hold to the high quality machine standards required within the organization. Studies blueprints,
sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements. Operate CNC mill, CNC lathe, manual mill and drill press. Setup machinery and ensure
all production materials are available. Operate Fork Lift Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine control as required. Must be able to select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting
tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers. Must demonstrate a basic to intermediate skill level (indicate part, turn OD's and qualify ID and OD). Ability to use inspection tool such
as micrometers, calipers, CMM etc. Document quality inspections as directed by SOP. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and assigned area. Assist SHEQ in promoting and monitoring Safety First initiatives and goals as stated in the MR Operational Policy throughout
the organization. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch and stand for extended periods of time. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned High School Diploma or GED is required An A.A. or equivalent from a two-year
college or technical school in the machinist trade is a plus Basic computer skills Forklift Certification preferred Two to four years experience working with CNC machines.
