Our Co-Op positions are a 6 month commitment (January 9th June 29th), working Monday Friday and work between 35-40 hours. Our program is designed for undergraduate students who are enrolled in a Co-Op program and can meet our requirements. All students must be authorized to work in the United States.

JOB SUMMARY

Supports the Director of Corporate Citizenship in the implementation and management of the company's community engagement strategy and action plan. This position will help with the implementation of the diversity initiative.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

* Organize and execute major volunteer events including Global Week of Giving Back and Co-op Volunteer Day

* Help manage internal communications regarding volunteer programs with employees, nonprofit and community organizations

* Help manage relationships with the community, focus on communication and with nonprofit partners

* Research and present information on trends in Corporate Citizenship and Diversity to MFS Corporate Citizenship Committee

* Present information on Corporate Citizenship to new employees at new hire orientation

* Organize invitation and guests lists for external events

QUALIFICATIONS

* Pursuing a degree in Business, Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Policy, Communications, Marketing or related field

* Ability to interact with senior executives and community leaders on the company's corporate citizenship strategy

* Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact in a professional manner with internal and external stakeholders

* Familiarity with corporate citizenship programs, community organizations, and nonprofits groups

* Commitment to learning, creativity and critical thinking

* Ability to handle multiple projects, and deadlines

* Passion and experience either as a volunteer or supporter of charitable causes

* Proficiency with Microsoft s Excel, Power Point, Outlook
