Job Description

Designer will be responsible for planning and design for electrical and/or instrumentation and controls elements for combinations of the following project types:

-natural gas pipeline
-treatment Candidate Specification The ideal candidate will possess the following:

5 or more years of planning and design experience for electrical and/or instrumentation/controls elements in one or more of the following project types: natural gas pipeline, facilities, liquids, transmission, gathering, midstream and treatment
Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC), American Gas Association (AGA) hazardous area classification standards, API, RP-500, and conduit and wire sizing per the NEC
Ability to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and develop grounding plans and details
Ability to develop control schematics and lay out control enclosures
Familiarity with major manufacturers electrical products such as Crous Hinds, Eaton, and Allen Bradley
Strong design, QA/QC, coordination, interpersonal, communication, documentation, and technical skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, and Microsoft Office programs
Degree is preferred, not mandatory dependent on related qualifications.
