Job Summary:

SUMMARY OF JOB:

The Director, Clinical Services Special Programs will report directly to the Centerstone Military Services Executive Director and supervise the Centerstone Military Services Retreat program. The Director will manage multiple Retreat programs having different goals and sponsors and provide oversight of the retreat program entered into with external partners. This will require vetting and building an adequate reserve of qualified therapists to participate in these Retreats. The Director will personally participate in at least 20 Retreats each year, typically 4-5 days at locations throughout the US and often in remote locations. This person will be personally responsible for ensuring all Retreats are staffed with acceptable therapists. This person will coordinate with each sponsor ensuring the therapist scheduled for each Retreat is prepared and professionally represents Centerstone. Will recruit and interview mental health providers for retreats, and assign them to the retreats across the country. The Director will also work in collaboration with external partner(s) to address service needs and work to increase business opportunities with other external partners.
The Director will meet with the Centerstone Military Services Executive Director a minimum of monthly, either personally or by video conferencing to update the Executive Director on the atmospherics of both the recent Retreats and the needs of the Retreat sponsors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Participate in a minimum of 20 Retreats per year as well as coordinate the availability of the licensed staff contracted to participate in in these Retreats
*

Attends 20 retreats annually.
*

Recruit, interview, assign providers to retreats across the country
*

Maintain pertinent documentation on retreat providers (current license, liability)
*

Provide clinical direction for retreat providers.
*

Collaborate with retreat teams to ensure seemless flow of event
*

Address service needs with retreat partner(s)
*

Maintain documentation on retreats
*

Attend departmental budget meetings
*

Identify new retreat partners for provider assignment
*

Conduct business development under the guidance of the Centerstone Military Services Executive Director to increase and improve each Retreat delivering care to Service Members, Veterans and their Families
*

Promote a positive and professional relationship for each Retreat and program sponsors



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR: The Director, Clinical Services Special Programs will manage Centerstone and contract mental health therapists enrolled in the Centerstone Military Services Retreat program. This includes managing their assignment to individual s Retreats and ensuring they are prepared to meet the expectations of the associated contract provisions.



OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Public outreach speaking related to Centerstone, Centerstone Military Services or the Retreat program

All other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Although extreme physical abilities are not required, some Retreat environments may require more than normal strength. These Retreats may also require significant mental strengths to overcome challenges purposely incorporated in the Retreat event. It is important to ensure each candidate for this position is aware of the components of a mild stress environment.

Requirements:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Licensed clinical mental health professional
*

Military cultural competence
*

Experience working with military population
*

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
*

Leading a team towards strategic objectives
*

Financial and budget experience preferred
*

Able to maintain and grow relationships with partners and payers
*

Military veteran preferred
*

Must be able to physically and mentally negotiate comfortably mild stress environments such as horseback riding, bicycling, ropes courses and white water navigation
*

Able to further business development
