This role will have global responsibility for the Industrial Equipment product portfolio as well as the development and implementation of marketing and new product development strategies. Utilizing a product lifecycle management framework and Rexnords stage gate new product development process, the focus will be on mining, interpreting and applying voice-of-customer to create highly differentiated and meaningful new product value propositions. The Director of Product Management is responsible for the marketing strategy and commercialization of the entire Industrial Equipment portfolio, both new and existing products. As owner of the three-year new product roadmap, the Director of Product Management is accountable for the alignment of the new product strategy, the execution of the roadmap prioritization and the on-time and on-budget delivery of NPD projects. The Director of Product Management supports the Industrial Vertical Sales team and the Product group by finding/ supporting strategic growth opportunities through product development projects and new product launches within the segment. The position will be based in the Milwaukee, WI metro area.

Responsible for the development (Sales, Market Share, Gross Margin & new product vitality) of two core product lines (bearing and chain), as well as any other products that Rexnord would sell primarily into general industrial, forest/wood product, transportation and other Industrial Equipment segments.
Identify and prioritize the greatest growth opportunities for deployment, and the leadership of assigned product management team.
Understand the specific situation within the segment markets, the applications and Rexnord products/ customer value and transfer this knowledge to the sales team
Work with the sales team to develop and execute the segment strategy and related action plans
Understand, develop and execute pricing/promotional strategies
Determine strategy for new products and services in the segment to launch and commercialize
Manage new product development initiatives, ROI analysis, business cases development and new product applications for on-time, on-budget market delivery
Develop commercial messages for customers within the Industrial Equipment segment
Develop and apply marketing tools to provide clear market analysis and customer segmentation
Maintain and action Product Life Cycle Management tools for bearing and chain products
Manage NPD portfolio and be able to clearly present strategies and progress reporting to executives and internal teams within Rexnord


Minimum 5 years relevant business-to-business product management and marketing experience with a demonstrated record of new product growth, preferably in the industrial power transmission industry

Demonstrated experience building a product management team and developing product management and marketing expertise

Familiarity and experience with stage-gate NPD and portfolio management processes

Bachelor/ Master in Mechanical Engineering or Business with in combination with high technical aptitude/ experience, MBA preferred

Proficiency with MS Office (Excel / Word / Power Point) and CRM (i.e. or Microsoft)

Willingness to travel (25-30% of time), consisting of customer visits and exchange visits, primarily in North America with periodic international travel as needed.


Knowledge of electro-mechanical integration, mechatronics, factory/process automation, and/or Industrial Internet of Things, are desirable experiences

Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, German or Chinese) a plus

Experience with total cost of ownership (TCO) value selling

Experience with digital marketing for product selection, support and e-commerce a plus
