Position Description

Domtar is currently seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Planner for our Ashdown, AR Mill. This position reports to the Maintenance Superintendent and is responsible for planning maintenance work for the central E&I department utilizing area Craftsmen, other maintenance resources and contractors to improve safety, quality, reliability, cost and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Verifying and reviewing work order notifications and planning work orders for execution

Coordinating maintenance activities by working closely with operations, purchasing and stores departments

Consistently executing the mill-wide Maintenance Management Program

Preparing detailed job plans and documentation to support the precision maintenance efforts

Updating and maintaining equipment and part information in the CMMS

Applying knowledge of electrical and instrumentation job tasks related to an industrial manufacturing facility

Conducting weekly schedule meetings with production coordinators

Reviewing executed work plans for improvement opportunities

Performing maintenance on-call duty within department rotation

Supporting/backing-up supervisors when needed

Supervising contractors as necessary

Managing the Electrical Integrity program and follow-up (Infra-red scans, Breaker cleaning and testing, Transformer PM s, and MCC Air purification PM s)

Position Requirements

Required Qualifications


Technical/trade school diploma with classes in E&I or equivalent work experience

3 years of relevant experience

Knowledge of E&I maintenance processes

Preferred Qualifications


5 years of relevant experience

MS Office and MS Project knowledge

SAP knowledge

Understanding of preventative maintenance processes
