JOB DUTIES:

Provide administrative and project support to the Rape Treatment Center Director. Serve as liaison between director and various support groups and donors. Coordinate special projects, business meetings, and other Department functions as assigned. Manage related community and vendor relations. Plan, organize, and supervise implementation of events and activities, educational programs, workshops, and training conferences. Develop timelines and monitor budgets. Coordinate event/project staff and volunteers. Research program and project subject materials, speakers, and venues. Establish and implement efficient strategies for long-range planning. Assist in preparation of grant submissions and fulfillment of reporting requirements. Responsible for typing, formatting, proofreading and editing correspondence, reports, proposals and other documents.



JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of four years of prior experience providing administrative support to executives/managers.

Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement multifaceted projects and events with complex logistics involving multiple tasks and priorities, showing great attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with conflicting demands and changing priorities.

Interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with staff, administration, volunteers, donors, public figures, vendors and the community.

Ability to handle confidential matters in a discreet and tactful manner.

Experience in training, supervising, and motivating event staff/volunteers.

Demonstrated ability in managing vendor relations, including securing/evaluating proposals and directing vendors in performance.

Demonstrated skills in anticipating project needs, and analyzing and proactively solving problems that arise.

Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative, and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Proofreading skills, including ability to edit copy for typographical and grammatical errors; excellent English-language oral and written skills.

Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as required by events and deadlines.

Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment and PC's.

Experience working in a non-profit, client-service oriented environment is highly desirable and preferred.

Bachelor's degree required.

Experience in marketing, public relations, and/or media production is preferred.
