The Position Overview
We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the entry level role of Metal Fabricator on our architectural fabrication team. Duties and Responsibilities

Operate fabricating equipment to bend and form metal while affixing metal materials.
Perform set-up and operation of various metal working pieces of equipment such as shears, presses, Yoder, etc.
Assemble and inspect various products to ensure customer specifications are met.
Read & understand blueprints and drawings.
Resolves routine questions and problems, refers complex issues to lead or supervisor.
Work under direct supervision and follows standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. Weld, fabricate and finish projects according to customer specifications.
Interpret and read engineering drawings, blue prints, and shop orders to trim, weld and assemble products
Operate welding and fabricating equipment including but not limited to TIG, MIG, Plasma, Heliarc, Electric and Acetylene welding technologies while affixing metal material.
Cut and journal rods, knock down chain, perform set-up and operate various metal working pieces of equipment such as drills, drill presses, shears, brakes, saws, Yoder, etc.
Move materials and assemble components.
Check all work for Quality
Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job.

Must be accurate with measurements
Must be able to use plasma torch to cut out necessary parts for product.
Must be physically able to use torch and grinder for extended amount of time to prep on necessary pieces.
Must be able to fit production pieces together so that piece meets dimensional standards on drawing.
Must possess the ability to layout and mark weld points on parts or subassemblies.
Must be comfortable using tape measure, square, level, and other tools necessary to ensure pieces meet dimensional standards on drawings
Ability to use hand tools
Ability to understand and execute verbal/written instructions
Ability to lift 50lbs
Desire to maintain a clean, organized work area
Willingness to learn new tasks and responsibilities as the role require
High school diploma or its equivalent
2 years of experience in the field or related area
Welding and Fabricating experience desired
Ability to read blue prints,
Must be able to perform repetitive movements.
Apprenticeship and/or formal training helpful
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Must be able to adhere to instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job.
Must have a basic understanding of cutting tools and processes.
Must also have a good mechanical aptitude.
